Harbor-UCLA Medical Center is one of the few Level-1 trauma centers in Southern California, and our adult and pediatric ERs see a very large volume of patients per day. Our trauma catchment area encompasses nearly all of southern Los Angeles County. Residents get extensive experience reading plain films while on the ER rotation. Here they interact with all subspecialists.
Pediatric radiology performs all the radiologic procedures pertaining to pediatrics and interprets all modalities from computed radiography to CT and MRI. Films are read with pediatric residents and staff from the NICU, PICU, and ward teams.
